ABOUT Maria moved from her hometown Bogota-Colombia to Auckland-New Zealand where she divides her time between Environmental Engineering and Photography, working part of her time with Jessica Higueras a well established and recognized professional photographer in NZ. "A picture is an individual impression of a moment… What I like the most about photography is that unexpected moments turn me into a constant observer, a seeker of unrepeatable instants to make "click". To me, shooting a photo has become the way of expressing and magnifying what I see…time is framed into a magical slow motion picture when photography sets in".
